say goodbye to my old dark ugly kitchen.
we've been talking about redoing the kitchen since we moved in (three years ago) and on monday i finally took the bull by the horns, so to speak.
all the cabinet doors are off and half of them are sanded. i'm in the process today of emptying out the cabinets (it's raining so i can't be outside sanding).
i had decided (after being inspired many times over by manda over at treefall design) to paint the cabinets white with a yellow back wall and a grey countertop.
but yesterday i spent the whole day staring at my paint chips and countertop samples second guessing my choices - maybe i didn't want yellow after all... did i really want a dark grey countertop... maybe i should just paint it green (like the rest of my house) and get it over with...
then today while i was unloading the cabinets i found a dish in the back of one of the cupboards, i'm not even sure when or where we got it - i think from one of our grandparents when they were downsizing. but when i saw it i knew right away that i had made the right color choices.
now i just need to figure out how to hang it on the wall.
