i've been taking a bit of an extended holiday break from the internets, but thought i should pop up before the year ends to wrap up my parade of holiday handmade goodies.
(i posed it with my grandmother's copy of little women in honor of cmv who has been enjoying re-reading this charming classic.)
then i cranked out two more scrappy cats (rav link) for my niece and lily.
i used a different sock yarn for these two and they came out even tinier than the first one i made! teeny tiny kitties, eeeeee!!!!!
i also thought they needed some teeny tiny cat-cessories.
each kitty got a food and water dish, a cat bed, and a tiny fish toy. (making teeny tiny items is rather addictive.)
i decided that rock with a hat needed to become a yearly tradition, so here's the 2010 installment.
in non-knitted gifties i made some etched glasses (following this tutorial) for my brother-in-law (who always wins).
and last but not least is a home alone tribute gift for my sister: an ornament out of fish hooks, made with the a hot glue gun!
kate: "he was in the garage again, playing with the glue gun."
kevin: "did i burn down the joint? i don't think so. i was making ornaments outa fish hooks."
peter: "my new fish hooks?"
kevin: "i can't make ornaments outa the old ones, with dried worm guts stuck on them."
and with that i officially close down the 2010 holiday sweatshop parade of gifts! i hope that you are all enjoying this the last day of 2010, see you in the new year!
