I'm excited for you!!

Mary de B

I kept thinking you were done, but then... one more picture! I love those crazy coloured braids. Not that I'm going to learn to spin, or anything, but it must be kinda fun to see what that turns into!

Great haul, enjoy spinning it all up!

Wow--so many beautiful things to play with!

Wow, melissa - this is all too wonderful for words! Hurray!!!!!!!!!!!!! Good for you :)

I think that all your purchases were 'essential' ones!! You chose some great colour combinations. It will be fun to see how they turn out!

oooh i am maniacally excited and vicariously rubbing my hands together for you too! SO awesome! your second batch is just ridiculously sweet and i can only imagine the glories to come!

on a second "we love iceland!" note, i was just reading an article in the NYTimes yesterday at about iceland and recovery from the big crash. one of the people they profiled was a knitter and she was talking about what a rich history iceland has when it comes to knitting-- in fact she said that in the 1800s there were national guidelines that said that every 8 year old should finish a pair of socks every week. can you imagine? the article is here: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/05/15/magazine/icelands-big-economic-thaw.html?_r=1&partner=rss&emc=rss

i thought that "overboard" was the first 4 balls of fiber, then i saw the second photo and it redefined overboard, and there were 3 more pictures after that! girl you have your work cut out for you! how does Brian feel about your new hobby?

oh my! that IS a lot of fiber! I can't wait to see what it becomes!

Wow, what lovely choices you made! I'm sure you will be busy for quite a long time with those lovelies...although that never stops me from buying more yarn ;)
