I agree with Lindsey...there is a time and place for everything. And I think college students need something washable for sure! I've not knit with acrylic often, but my brother's partner is allergic to wool so Vanna's brand may need some looking into. Your red scarf is going to be loved.

You know me, I am no yarn snob. Vanna's choice is another of those yarns we don't get up here, but I've heard good things about it.

I love Vanna's too! What I think is that every knitter likes to use expensive yarn, but in my case my budget is limited these days and I want to keep knitting, so I go for Vanna's or Ease wool and I love them too! You can still make beautiful garments with acrylic, and the washable part is the best! Your scarf is looking really pretty!
