ooh i didn't realize that pattern had so much seed stitch. well though there are no ruffles, i think i remember you declaring yourself a non- seed stitch fan so it is equally impressive of you to take on such a sweater for your darling daughter. and it's looking adorable. love that pattern!
your book sounds totally wonderful and totally you. i'm excited to hear how you enjoy it. (does that mean you've given up on love in the time of cholera?)
AND your pig is so sweet. what a nice thing for a bank to do. why aren't banks as friendly as they used to be?

Tracey

Oh, your book sounds great. I have heard there is a big suburbian movement which is just amazing! I do hope it continues to spread!
Happy Yarn Along!

I've looked longingly at that book so many times! I hope it is delightful and you have a beautiful harvest this year!

Cynthia

Thank you sharing the link to your sweater. I love the pattern and am adding it to my favorites right now. I like the cheerful yellow you are using. It looks great in all that seed stitch. :)

Kathy

I can't wait to hear about your suburban farm and see Lily's birthday sweater. I adore your piggy bank and love that you still have it.

Sarah

Love the yellow! I'm sure it's going to be adorable. :)

That book sounds really interesting. I shall have a look for it on Amazon.

Anna

That looks like a lovely pattern and I do really love the colour. When's your birthday? Hope you enjoy the book.

Crap -- i lost my comment.

I haven't heard of this book but I should check it out. It was interesting to me...last week on my capture I was talking to a vet who said he read recently how our nation is moving toward a 'never eat at home' direction. How we will only be eating processed foods and take-out in a couple years. Which is interesting considering the complete opposite movement I see online. I had begun to think that those of us who grow our own foods and cooked healthy were a majority...but maybe we are actually a minority?
