squares of joy - january edition

my january square for my *brand new* square-a-month blanket for bundles of joy is finished:

hooray!  it's giant granny squares!!  i tell you, i am so excited about these guys, they're fast and fun and just so stinkin' colorful!

it was really all i could do to not cast on right away for another square... but i've got to wait for february.  it's harder to do than you'd think, what with this bag of rainbow-lovelies singing their siren song...

luckily i have other projects to keep me busy and february's not *that* far away!

oooh, those colors are so wonderfully cheerful and scumptious! i can just see how much fun each month is going to be- and how hard it's going to be to give the finished blanket away. LOVE this idea!

I just love granny squares! I've never done one that's so colorful though because even the thought of weaving in all those ends.... Maybe I'll make one with solid squares!
