joining up with ginny at small things for this week's yarn along:
knitting: i've reached the lace collar portion of the hoarfrost cowl (pattern by anne hanson - rav link) which i'm knitting for my friend for her birthday. it's only 6 rows, but they aren't intuitive like some lace patters so i spend a lot of time recounting and double checking my stitches. i don't really mind though, the finished product is so lovely it's worth the extra effort.
reading: technically i'm being read to, and as far as i'm concerned there's not much better than bringing together knitting and audiobooks. my friend blair has been encouraging me to begin the wheel of time series by robert jordan, and i finally took her advice, starting with the first book eye of the world. i'm about 1/4 of the way through and enjoying my journey so far.
what are y'all currently reading?

Beautiful cowl! I keep trying to get back to my reading, and it never seems to happen. Perhaps I should try audio books instead!!

I love the colors of that cowl! That yarn is gorgeous! Audiobooks are my absolute favorite. I love to have them on while I'm knitting!

Love the colours of the cowl. I am about to start a book set in India.

Oh my! That looks like a series of books I'd enjoy. Adding it to my list.

I just finished Flight Behavior by Barbara Kingsolver. I needed a mental break so picked up a cheesy knitting mystery book (that sounds like a knitting mystery...it's a mystery book that has knitting in it!). I've read all in the series but can't remember the name of it right now and am too lazy to go check. ;)
