the day of which i have been waiting for has arrived! lily is officially obsessed with knitting! it started last fall, when she wanted to knit a bib for her baby doll.
she then decided she needed to make a regular sized version for her baby cousin hattie. she started last fall and then stalled out until earlier this month when she got her knitting mojo back and finished it up.
i showed her how to purl and from then on there was no stopping her... she decided all her cousins needed lily-knit gifts, and got to work. in the past two weeks she has made, a bookmark for kaia:
a washcloth for henners:
and a mini basket for isaac (which was also her first foray into using dpn's):
it really is a knitting mama's dream come true! i'm so proud of my little knitter!

holy crap! that is sooooo cool. tell her that the washcloth looks very professional and the mini basket is adorable! (but my favorite thing is the stinkin' cute bookmark)

I'm really impressed (although not surprised). Especially with that little basket. Although I wonder how I'd react to another knitter in the house...I'm pretty darn possessive of my stash! ;)
