reading: i know you're not supposed to judge a book by its cover... but if you happen judge a book by it's spine as you breeze past it on the shelf at the library *and* you come home with it and it turns out to be a complete gem like the family fang by kevin williams, then i think it's okay.
i don't know if i can properly describe how much i am enjoying this book. it is absurd, subdued yet hilarious, at times achingly painful and at others achingly touching... i am loving every minute spent with this charmingly bizarre, dysfunctional, yet ultimately loving family. i know i'm babbling, so i'll stop and just say - i'm so happy i grabbed this off the shelf for no other reason than the bird masks on the spine!
crocheting: i've been having a fun fun june full of travelling, family, friends, and oh yes, more fun! which is really awesome for me, but not so awesome for my productivity in the fiber-related fields... three weeks later and i'm still working away on my granny square garden baby blanket for bundles of joy. but as a consolation prize, i'm still loving every minute of it!
so friends... what are you reading/making these days?
