this past weekend i got to go visit the wonderful melinda of quirky granola girl at her new home in washington dc (more on my trip in a later post!). i wanted something to bring for melinda, but it needed to be something i could make quickly as the halloween prep had sucked up most of my crafting time the past few weeks.
crocheting rocks has been on my list of things i wanted to try for ages and this seemed like the perfect opportunity to give it a go! i used the little urchin crocheted stone pattern (rav link) as my jumping off point.
for the first one i followed the pattern exactly:
then for the next two i just made things up as i went along...
these were surprisingly soothing to make, relatively quick, and if i do say so myself, beautiful when finished. i loved this little project and as it was kind of hard to give these away, i fully plan on making more in the near future!
