What a sweet kitty! I like your yarn - that will make a nice cowl. That's quite a pile of books there!

Your description makes me think of Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson series that Bushboy and I have been reading (original and now second series). For some reason you just have to get the next one! (potato chips of the book world)

I am reading Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks. Just started it. Just finished All the Pretty Horses by Cormac McCarthy. I love love love his writing. The man is a genius with the written word.

Knitting - plain jane socks for my mum, spring RED cowl for me, and scrap blanket when the mood strikes.

Knitting: still working on my OWLS sweater, just started socks and waiting to bind off my ABS.

Reading: the Yarn Harlot's new book and Love Lies Bleeding!

Goodness me that's a big pile of books :)
I love your yarn, I'm looking forward to seeing the finished cowl.
Have a beautiful week.

I'll have to check with Eldest to see if she's read this series. I'm doing easy knitting at the moment - my beekeeper' quilt. One hexi puff at a time. Reading wise - my daughter has got me reading the Hunger Game series, which I'm enjoying more than I thought I would.

I am reading some no-brainer chicklit at the moment!! Knitting a Vodka Lemonade cardigan, hoping to get it done by the end of April for a KAL!

"lily was desperate for me to keep reading so we could talk about the books"
this sentence just made my absolute week. how i love your daughter, her bursting intelligence, her sweet friendliness, her all around awesomeness. this is like every teacher's dream sentence! and i love you both!
