i promise i haven't completely forgotten my crochet circles. they've been sitting in nice little stacks on my dining room table since apparently june 28th... i just got swept up in summer; the traveling, the unsuspected reappearance of blankie, the need to finish the barn ripple before the deadline... the circles got pushed to the back corner of my brain.
until yesterday! i got them all upstairs to the guest bedroom, with the big stick, only to find that the big stick is too big!
see how it's lopping off the bed? (next to lily's stuffed zebra, which has apparently suffered some sort of calamity resulting in its need to lie on the floor until, i assume, it collects its zebra wits and can be off again...) so it needs to be cut back a bit, which of course stalled the project because... well because it just did.
so... after the big stick has become the not quite so big stick, these bad boys will get hung up. i'm not saying we should take bets, but i wonder which will come first... christmas or me finishing this project... it's anyone's guess!
and as an aside, can you find peapod in this photo?!? you'll score bonus cat-lover points if you can!
in more circle news, my dear melinda from quirky granola girl and i are doing a sort of swapy thing and her request of me was a pile of crocheted circles of her very own. i've only just begun so here are the first two patterns:
lucky for melinda she did not request her circles tied to a stick and hung on a wall, so she will without a doubt see her circles finished before my project!
