i'm always on the lookout for opportunities to barter goods, in planning for the barn party silent auction i asked my dear friend, the extremely talented melinda at quirky granola girl, if she would make something for the auction, and if so, what she would like in return.
she donated this amazing hand quilted pillow. it is so beautiful, i almost cried when i took it out of the box. all those perfect little stitches done by hand, it boggles my mind.
and what did she want in return? a pile of crocheted circles all her own. i was more than happy to oblige her!
it's a total of 36 circles in 6 different patterns (links to patterns on my ravelry project page) in a myriad colors from bits and bobs from leftover projects.
i completely feel like i got the better end of this deal (which i guess is how you want all swaps/barters to feel), i love the opportunity to play with color provided when making a pile of these little gems.
i hope melinda gets as much joy from having them as i got from crocheting them up!
now i just can't wait to see what she does with them!
