lindsey's post yesterday lit a fire under me that i too have a few things leftover from 2014 that i still needed to mention here on the blog. after a two week impromptu hiatus from blogland, spending a week in omaha with my extended family, and a week back in minnesota with just my little family i feel refreshed and relaxed and ready for a new year! except that there are a few lose ends we need to tie up...
like the laura and mary dolls (pattern rav link):
lily sewed their dresses, but was feeling the time crunch of a holiday deadline and asked if i would make the bonnets and aprons. we've already discussed how i can't say no to this project, so i quick crocheted some up!
her friend was thrilled with her doll and from what i understand they are already planning and designing more outfits to make together!
i finished my niece hattie's totoro (pattern rav link) at around 9pm on christmas eve... (sometimes my procrastination works out in my favor.)
she too seemed pleased with the results...
i also finally got around to finishing hattie's stocking. poor thing. the knitting was finished *two years* ago, but only just before this christmas did i get around to adding the hanging loop and felting it... (sometimes my procrastination is embarrassing.)
but now hattie has a matching stocking just like her brother and sister and all is right with the world...
and on that note we'll close the books on the 2014 holiday season and turn our attention to a shiny new year full of exciting things to come!
