it's been a whole five years since my sister meghan and i have done matchy-match knitting projects. that means it's high time we came up with another project for a sister knit-a-long!
a few years back at the fiber fest i got both her and i skeins of lovely alpaca yarn from enchanted meadows fibers, we were chatting the other day and decided that we needed to make matching cowls with our almost matching yarns.
as luck would have it we just *needed* to meet up in iowa today to transfer lily's old bed to my nephew henry. and as luck would have it we made the trip with no children and stayed a little bit longer to cast on our projects together!
we found a gorgeous gazebo in a gorgeous park and enjoyed a gorgeous day while starting our matchy match cowls.
we decided upon the rhythmic cowl pattern by susan dingle (rav link) because its super squishy nature lends itself directly to lots of luscious alpaca yarn being near our faces at all times.
hooray for knitting along matchy-match sisters!
