i can't even remember the last time i went to a baseball game... i was probably in junior high school.
this game was fun. the twins won 5-4, which made my dad (a diehard kc royals fan) sad but made my adopted state very happy.

i did a lot of knitting on the sister matchy-match scarf #2, which made me very happy (and i sat next to brian, who made me very giggly). i decided baseball games are just as awesome as airplanes for guilt-free uninterrupted knitting time.

i also spent some time contemplating how the infield looks like they dropped the pitcher from the sky onto the mound, making ripples on the field.
all in all an excellent day!

hooray for knitting and baseball! looks like you had a wonderful time! and yes- baseball is excellent for guilt-free knitting time (as is any sport, really- especially the olympics!) did you get to have a hot dog and a beer (the other best thing about baseball)?

I love it! :)...what a cute picture of you! :) I bet it was especially guilt free because I noticed in the background a certain ghee-mom is keeping Miss Lillian occupied with her doodle book :) I hope you all had time for snacks! That's my favorite part of baseball games....
As a side note, Dad can't be too disappointed, he knows about the Royals...haha he truly is a diehard fan
also the pitcher picture (say that five times fast) is really neat...I've never noticed ripples like that before...

Fun! I second the hot dog and beer questions and how about some peanuts and cracker jacks? You have to have those too, they made it into the song and everything. It looks like you are making great progress on the scarf too, yeah!

We went to a Cubs game in Milwaukee last summer and I had a great time knitting a pink baby hat for a friend's baby during the game. Unfortunately the baby's dad is a Brewer's fan and the team lost that day. I guess that was significant to him :) The funniest part of that game was the Brewer fans. The Cubs fans are happy to drive up from Chicago and descend on Miller Stadium and they can be a bit obnoxious in the love for their team. Two rows in front of us someone made a T-shirts. One had a picture of Harry Caray saying "Harry Caray hates the Cubs." Another had a picture of Jesus saying that Jesus also hated the Cubs. Our favorite was a picture of Walker, Texas Ranger and "Chuck Norris hates the Cubs" too funny!

We went to a Tigers game this summer and I really wanted to take my knitting with me...unfortunately it was the hottest day of the summer (seriously, high 90s) and it was too hot to move, let alone hold wool. I felt so sorry for the walking vendors that day...they looked so uncomfortable.
Anyways...yay for fall baseball knitting!
