for a while now a desire to wrap lacy handknits around my neck has been growing and growing in my mind (kate,i am holding you completely responsible by the way). when i saw the cité pattern by anne hanson (pattern or rav link) i knew that i had found not only my leaping off point for my growing lacy obsession but also the perfect pattern for the gorgeous yarn i bought in brooklyn last june.
and do you want to know the best part? i took my brooklyn handspun and knit on the plane during my flight to brooklyn and finished up the cowl sitting on claire's couch. talk about full circle, claire even took the finished object pictures for me.

i am completely in love.
i also have my next lacy project all lined up! i plan to make an argante (rav link) by corrina ferguson with this lovely yarn from the talented asti over at juno fibre arts.

This cowl is just gorgeous! The photo of the skein pre-knitting is so pretty too...that looks like a very special hank of yarn!

I love the cowl, I love the yarn you are using for your new project (that will just be stunning!), but more than anything I love that Kate enabled YOU this time! :) I've actually had an itching for lace lately too...I'm trying to get some other things off the needles and then I may have to indulge and cast on for lace!
Catching up and you know what that means. Bombardment to come.
