i went to bed last night to promises of snow.
i woke up to this:
a winter wonderland of snow!
it's a big, wet, heavy snow - perfect for frolicking around in!
it was also perfect timing for a photoshoot of my finished lacy baktus (pattern or rav link).
i am so happy with how this turned out - i love the blending of the blue yarn with the green, i'm glad now that i had all those yarn troubles, because i would have never thought of doing this on my own.
a big gorgeous snowstorm and a lovely new scarf - this is the best saturday i've had in a long time!

WOW! on both counts - both are so beautiful. i love the green and blue working together. and that snow, its amazing x

Wow, no sign of snow here yet! That scarf is really pretty, with the two colours.

That really was a big snow! We haven't had our first big snow yet this year so I'm still holding my breath.

Oh my goodness what wonderful snow! Was it good for snowballs and angels? It looks like Luna had. A great time frolicking. Your scarf is absolutely gorgeous (the color combo worked out great) and you look gorgeous in it!

Beautiful Baktus in a lovely colorway! No snow here in NE yet. That's okay since I am not a fan!

oh my goodness oh my goodness!
that is the best november surprise ever! the is the most gorgeous and perfect snow! and how ideal for your lovely baktus photo shoot! the baktus looks wonderful- i'd say it's a good thing you ended up running out of yarn because those two colors look just perfect together.
hooray all around!

Holy moly! What amazingly beautiful snow photos! I hope there is snow for Luna and Carolina to romp in together when you are in Omaha! Your Baktus is lovely but not quite as lovely as the beautiful lady wearing it! Seriously your smile in that last photo is stunning!

quit reminding me that it's winter! ;) Wow...we've had some sprinklings but nothing major yet except in the mountains. Soon I'm sure (I love the pic of Luna running and love even more the description in Flickr...love that movie!).
Very impressed with your modifications of Baktus to deal with the yarn shortage...it's beautiful! My Baktus to come will be striped so it's exciting to see how amazing your striping effort turned out!

i *adore* that big grin in your last photo! how cute are you? and how cute is your happy Luna romping in the snow? your gobs of sticky snow are just as beautiful as your scarf, too. really, you are killing me with these gorgeous photos.

I can't believe you have snow already! I hope you're not going to be stuck with it now until the spring! Just love how your Baktus turned out - the two colours look perfect together.
