i can't think of a time since the birth of lily that i have been this unproductive on the crafting front... i am definitely suffering from a case of the crafting blahs.
here's what i'm currently not really working on all that much...
after its being misplaced during our move last summer i *finally* found the squirrel cross stitch! i was motivated to finish it for, i don't know... half a day? but i'm so close i don't want to move on until it's finished.
after the intense deadline to finish crocheting that ripple afghan for my friends' wedding i have been loath to pick up another yarny project. i've been working from time to time on blankie's never ending solid square... but meh, it's just not speaking to me in exciting terms.
i need someone to smack me, a la cher in moonstruck, to "snap out of it!!" i'm thinking maybe crocheting a square for the square-a-month afghan will motivate me. but we'll see... the yarn for that project is waaaaaay over there..... meh.

you need to channel lindsey! do you want me to send you the WWLKSD bracelet? i think the squirrels are a wonderful gateway project back into the crafting world and a nice break from the yarn. plus they're so darn cute!

Sometimes it's nice to do something little, sort of without making a huge commitment. This is why I have a zillion hats. You'll hit your stride sooner or later, I'm sure.

SQUIRRELS!
It's such a weird limbo time right now. You have more than crafty projects looming over your head, such as getting ready for L. to go back for school. I know until my kids are back in and summer's accomplished I'll be able to focus more on the crafty.
I'm absolutely positive you'll snap out of it soon.
If not, I'll slap you silly! (tee hee)
Just take a note from Sir Will:
When life seems jolly rotten, there's something you've forgotten.
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps!
Just purse your lips and whistle, that's the thing!
AND
Always look on the bright side of life!
(I can hear him listening to Spamalot in the other room right now.)

I hear you! After the swirl sweater I have barely knit a thing. I thought two bibs for a friend's baby would put me back on track but they didn't inspire me to keep knitting at all.
I hope you square inspires you. I have been finishing up projects hoping that will inspire me to start something new.

Maybe it's the heat. I'm having the same problem because I want to knit baby stuff and none of it works in the heat of Hawaii. :( Maybe a hat... or a pair of vanilla socks. And thanks for the Sir Will motivation Blair!
