squares of joy - september edition

my september square for my square a month project for bundles of joy is finished:

this was the ninth and final square, which also means the blanket is now finished!  thanks to football sunday (watching two games back to back affords one much time for crafting), i also finished the border:

i used the "lily edging" and changed colors for the last two squares of the round (lest you think i am just that creative, it was out of necessity as i ran out of teal yarn with two squares to go on the first round!)

but i turned out to really like the extra stripes of color, in a blanket this loud you really can't over do the color!  

it's a bright, fun color explosion!!

i really enjoyed this project, each month it was a treat to make a new square.  

now i have a couple weeks to come up with an idea for my next square a month blanket... i'm feeling hard pressed to top this one!
