squares of joy - march edition

my march square for my square a month afghan for bundles of joy is finished! (and has been inspected by peapod.)

(now before you ask, yes i was a good girl and finished lily's sweater before making this square, and no we haven't done the photoshoot yet - hopefully later today)

i double checked lucy of attic24's join as you go tutorial and realized i was entering through the back of the join instead of the front, and when i actually followed the directions i got a join that is much more pleasing to the eye:

my february square for my square a month project for bundles of joy is finished:

i'm giving the attic24 join-as-you-go method a try, so it's already connected to last month's square.

i'm not convinced that i like the finished look when one joins in this fashion, but there is no denying the lure of "join as you go" for ease of finishing... so i'm going to stick with it and see it the look grows on me.

my january square for my *brand new* square-a-month blanket for bundles of joy is finished:

hooray!  it's giant granny squares!!  i tell you, i am so excited about these guys, they're fast and fun and just so stinkin' colorful!

it was really all i could do to not cast on right away for another square... but i've got to wait for february.  it's harder to do than you'd think, what with this bag of rainbow-lovelies singing their siren song...

luckily i have other projects to keep me busy and february's not *that* far away!

this month's yarn came from: center orange, pink, and medium blue - october zen circle, darker blue - lily's totoro, light blue - the orange and blue ripple, and the corner orange square - kohles family love afghan.
